New movies on Nanotech island

There are some new machinima movies available for viewing on Nanotechnology island in SL. The video screens in the foyer of the main building are now playing a selection of NPL science movies including an introduction to NPL, and TRUTHS 1 and 2 exhibit presentations.

NanoLands.com has a new look!

Welcome to the new and improved NanoLands website and blog. The site has been undergoing some structural and design changes over the past few weeks, and is now complete.
 

 
We’ve updated the site with the latest information on NanoLands activities and events. More updates on upcoming NanoShows and the NanoLands Challenge will me made available shortly.

As of today (March 9), my contract to help with Nanotechnology Island comes to an end.  It’s been really great working with Dave, Gordon, Louise, Ani, Lloyd, and Ray at NPL.  I think we’ve all learned a lot.  I’ll still be around – you can keep track of me by following my personal blog.

Exploring Nano 3: Nanotubes

The third project in the Exploring Nano series is now complete! It combines music and narration synchronized with pictures and animations to explain graphite, graphene, nanotubes, their history and their properties. To visit the exhibit in Second Life, click here.

Note:  The exhibit has actually been around for a while – the main thing that’s just happened is that the musical soundtrack was completed.
